From the first episode, this is very polished and impressive, way beyond what you would normally expect from Toei even for a theatrical production. Is it that amz money?
It's a dark modern-day reboot with Black (here Black Sun) and his rival Shadow Moon that tries to take on the idea of kaijin-- people forcibly modified to turn into monsters, like our heroes-- as an oppressed minority in society. Ambitious; looking forward to seeing where it goes.
