I took the banners off Crunchy because they won't let you screenshot, or rather they well but it's a whole thing and I'm not doing it today

finished Do It Yourself. Underrated chill-out "girls do a thing" anime with the misfortune to be released in a monster anime season and next to Bocchi the Rock. Even the color palette and design style is comforting. Intense loving detail for its subjects in every frame, applied equally to characters frolicking and characters using power tools with textbook-correct technique. So understated that it makes you care more about what's happening.

Bocchi I don't feel like I need to introduce as much, it's clearly a huge Internet hit. Basically "K-On but with social anxiety", it's clearly proven relatable. This was one of the things where I said "I'll see what all the fuss is about" a few weeks in and okay, actually, it instantly grew on me. Best part of every episode is the increasingly experimental animation used to express Bocchi's fragile state of mind as outside stimuli take her beyond her comfort zone. Also love the drunken older-sister type who fronts her own band, a character totally engineered for the older viewer to love.

I'm also close to finishing Jojo Stone Ocean but that'll be another post.

I don't even bother manually screenshotting anymore since I was referred to this browser extension (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/video-screenshot/ppkojackhibeogijphhfnamhemklmial) which saves a screenshot of your video with a single button push.

There's also a freeware program called Lightshot (https://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html) which bypasses CR's no screenshot policy.

If all else fails, I can usually find what I'm looking for from FanCaps (https://fancaps.net/anime/showList.php). Hope this helps :)

I've heard such amazing things about Do It Yourself, hoping to spend some time with it next season. It's really refreshing to see Bocchi get so much discussion, I don't know if the same circles of seasonal anime watches would have given it the time of day as much even 5 or so years ago.
