Three 1st place finishes and one 2nd; about as good as you could possibly ask for. Number one in B2 league at this early juncture. Two very dominant sessions where I just got a whole lot of blessed tiles, enjoyed a strong point advantage, never needed to take any risks, and thus never dealt in. These are the kinds of matches every player prays for. So long as you play strong and solid, these games will come, and that's your record/rank/whatever.

Moving up a division from the very bottom means a significant jump in player skill. B3 is full of wild and reckless beginner-level play; many players would simply never fold, and I had to adjust my usual online-mahjong strategy against that. This table was more the kind of strong orthodox play that I'm used to going up against in the average online ladder match.

Second screenshot is a hand I don't think I would have reached on in B3: the wait sucks, it's not worth a lot, I could pon hatsu for a wait on 1p. Especially at a table where nobody folds, I shouldn't tie myself to a bad wait because they're gonna just keep playing. But here I am way ahead, I have this tenpai very early, and I feel like the other players at this table will respect my riichi and go on the defensive. Part because it's B2 and they're clearly better players, but also because I've been on this reign of terror and I want to leverage the fear.

I'm proud of the last screenshot there, where I called with a no-yaku hand in order to possibly win on last draw; if I didn't win on that draw I had other safe tiles and could bail. There's winning in mahjong because you got a great hand and your tile came in, and there's winning because you made a move, and it's really satisfying in a totally different way when a move goes right.
