As the DCEU of old draws to a close and we approach a reboot helmed by James Gunn and Peter Safran, one facet I feel will be looked upon more fondly as years pass is Ben Affleck's portrayal of Batman; from his debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, to the solo Batman movie that never was, to his exit in Zack Snyder's Justice League and the upcoming Flash movie
Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck had a clear, direct vision for the character and his journey, heavily inspired by Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, but studio meddling prevented that from ever being fully realized
