Sonic Frontiers' writing is...better than the previous 12 years or so (not exactly hard to have better writing than baldy nosehair), but in a way it also sort of feels like the polar opposite problem of those games. We went from lore and story not mattering at all, to every line of dialogue being a wink wink nudge nudge hey remember this, "Boy I tell you this reminds me of the time I was in Sonic Adventure on the Sega Dreamcast!"
