ShareX was kind of a pain for this but I figured it out
Obviously the earliest of early WIPs and only the most basic of fundamentals are down but it's coming along

Realizing now I'm kind of forced to learn CTF2.5, or at least a new engine since my old GMS1.4 doesn't export to HTML anymore (even though I had all the exporters. Sucks, man) and my GMS2 updated, so now I'd have to shell out a monthly payment to export to HTML
It's annoying but I probably should have moved off GameMaker years ago anyway, and getting bought out by Opera was probably the push I needed. I miss the days when I could just buy something and own it

Well, my handsome friend who I have definitely never seen before in my life, I am very glad you asked!
Super Jurassic Park is my attempt at a "remake", or more accurately, I guess you could say port/remaster of the SNES/other platforms for modern day, developed in ClickTeam Fusion 2.5
After being inspired by watching our own BlazeHedgehog's video on the subject, I decided to try my hand at such at...giving this game a remake, with the ideas he had and my own musings for the game, such as a proper save system
Of note...
Was this ask just to talk about something I've been working on for a bit and am super excited to talk about? Yes it was! How could you tell?

Back in January, I found that somebody had uploaded a childhood favorite of mine, a game on Roblox called Zombie Ocean: Rescue Mission 2. Roblox itself has gone through several changes and updates over the years, causing several games to break or simply not function as intended - ZORM2 is no exception
The problem is, the game itself was last updated over a decade ago, and the original creator, FoxMcBanjo has long since had his account terminated so no updates would be coming in either way. Seeing a fun challenge and seeing no reason not to, I decided I wanted to...not remake it, but try and fix it up, make it work in the modern version of the engine
Alas, it was not meant to be. By some force of nature, the project file is a disorganized mess with nothing properly labeled even kind of. At this point, it would be easier just to remake the whole thing from scratch - something I have honestly paid thought to doing. The game itself is simple - the Rescue team spawns on a platform in the middle of the ocean surrounded by islands infested with zombies, where other players spawn and try to survive. Their mission is to take boats or helicopters back to the platform, where they become rescuers, and the cycle repeats endlessly until the players leave
It shouldn't be a super difficult game to make. With what I know about Roblox, to bring it up to modern standards, it'd be a month, maybe two, tops. The game is no Skyrim or Breath of the Wild but I remember finding the scope and scale of it very impressive at the time - but that was 2009. This is 2023. What was impressive back then is less impressive today - but the tools have scaled with that, so has the hardware. I'm not stuck to a shitty Dell laptop that can't even run Minecraft anymore - I have a pretty midrange PC, but an i7, 24gb of RAM and a 1060 is nothing to sneeze at
So, I dunno! It may be a thing I work on one of these days, if nothing else out of boredom. The summer months are coming up, so this could be a fun project for then
