Is there a way to see notifications on this platform? Like new followers or mentions? How am I meant to keep track of my numbers...

You can see a list of who's following you with the Followers option in the main menu, but it doesn't give you a number. Cohost only shows you a number on the comments of your posts, nothing else. As far as I know, that's on purpose. You're not meant to keep track of numbers here.
