It's been so long that the only thing I can really say is EXPLORE ALL THE THINGS. No other metroidvania gives you this insane level of freedom and that's a real shame. The genre would be so much richer if this sort of design was the standard.
The music that kicks in when you enter the City of Tears is fucking beautiful. Probably one of my favorite vidja tracks.
I really love the city zone! I love pretty much all the zones I’ve come across so far! lol
Ps also thanks Justin; your enthusiasm for the game convinced me to keep going with it early on as your taste seem quite similar to my own - and I thought, well if this guy thinks the games one of the best it’s probably worth persisting despite my lack of skill haha thanks :)

If you can't persist through some of the late-game bosses, don't worry about it. Some of them are optional and the truly insane-o difficult ones are only there for the purposes of getting the "true" ending.
You getting around the map any better?
So glad the game has sucked you in. It's a glorious experience all the way through. I would boot up a fresh run if I didn't have a slew of other games to finish... maybe I'll do it anyway lol.
