For lovers of crusty paper backs, here’s the Strugatsky brothers’ famous sci-fi novel. The text which Tarkovsky adapted into Stalker, and subsequently informed quite a bit of modern sci-fi since (not least the videogame series). I’d say it’s well worth a read and feels quite different to the film adaptation. It’s been a few years since I read this one so I need to revisit it soon :)

Haha I know what you mean! It’s so so so so slow lol and not a great deal happens. It’s about as art house as you can get; but I really like it - though maybe more in theory than actually watching the film.
