(spent 30 minutes translating "welcome to the world of pokemon" and hours on other sentences then downloaded Learn Japanese With Paul Noble)
I think I've turned a new leaf with attempt to learn it this time. Using primarily Duolingo never quite hit because I think it doesn't give quite enough context or challenge. Like maybe it's because it's similar to how I learned to read as a kid. Jumping into books without knowing every word and watching a shit ton of Sesame Street and Between the Lions was really satisfying and this approach feels close to that.
