i think i like this season a bit less than the previous ones. vibe is ever so slightly off i feel like. it has become more of a Loud anime, i think.
also learned the japanese word for food porn (posting appetizing looking pictures of food etc.) is 飯テロ
this season has been kind of... yeah! i dunno, i agree that it's been a little off.
i think it's become about The Camping when what i liked so much about season 2 was that it was about The Characters, and The Camping was just kind of a mechanism for characters interacting.
yeah idk i've been having a hard time pinning down the exact reason, because it feels like they're sort of going through the right motions (e.g. i think adding Aya is a good move and i like her as a character) but it just feels... slightly wrong?
it's a new studio this time which i think is probably the root cause. the new character designs and direction all seems slightly, idk, more over the top? typecast? i feel like rin was less emotive for example.
otoh i basically consider this a sort of bonus round. seasons 1 + 2 + movie feel like a sort of closed story so i'm ok if just that run is good. at some point i will read more of the manga i suppose
