Thanks to everyone who came to our meetup on thursday. Im so proud of the space we all created together.
Thanks especially to everyone who spoke in our Lost Levels session. No other Lost Levels I've attended has had so much anarchic energy and willingness to reject conventional assumptions. It was a joy to run the LL format with such an amazing self-select group.
I think that, in light of the horrible things that happened the same night on the other side of the bay (for those out of the loop, [cw:sv] at private industry events in San Francisco this thursday, at least 3 women were drugged. Luckily they all got home safe, but even so...) it feels so important that we have femme-led, queer-centering events like Slug World, where people actively look out for eachother, and where the organizer (me ^^) follows best-practices for drink-safety.
So again, thank you to everyone who came through. You made Slug World what it was, and I truly cant wait to see you again next year ♡
