little details about simon’s design that change as time progresses, telling you when he is based on what subtle thing is different…
simon at a much younger age wore his hair with shorter bangs, that were still quite long but more pronounced against the rest of his hair. at the time, his hair also wasnt AS long.
it wasn’t until later, as a gradual overtime thing, that his hair became a hangout spot for spirits and whatnot, so as a newer cleric, his hair is flat and straight.
as he gained experience, and hair friends, his hair also would be cut shorter less often, and he’d start growing his hair out to a length that would otherwise be inconvenient. the longer the hair, the more the hair could move and do things alongside simon, meaning simon gained the ability to hold things with his hair or even cast touch spells through it. i also draw him wearing the hair at the front of his face a bit longer now,, though still considerably shorter than the rest.
speaking of his hair, a lock was cut while in the middle of the campaign, hence why I’ve recently begun drawing him with this big slice of hair just sticking out of the top of his head.
he used to more frequently pop the top of his cloak thing over his head to wear as a hood, and thus he’d wear his cloak centered a bit more because it’d to allow him to do such a thing easier. the cloak is also growing tattered with lots and lots of time. he will occasionally mend his own clothes, though.
he also used to wear the same pair of brown boots which were well decorated in charms and whatnot that he collected over time. then, he lost them on the way to icewind dale, so he showed up to the campaign barefoot. later, his friend would gift him a new pair of boots, much… fancier? than what he previously wore
