earlier i was talking to @peek about how grating the romance was in the star war prequels and he said "the dialogue is like rich people sexting" and it was like a door blew open in my mind. 20 years of trying to figure out what bugged me about those fucking movies and now it clicks

Imagining the "oh, yeah" being delivered as if Padme was just reminded of a very mundane fact. No passion or interest behind it.
"Hey doll, is this guy boring you? Why don't you talk to me instead? I'm from a different planet!"
