the first roll through a new1 camera is always full of anticipation. does this hunk of metal i spent a decent amount of money on and shipped across an ocean even work? does it take pictures? am i using it wrong?
well, i'm using it a little bit wrong. shallow depth of field (f/1.7!) and zone focus are a dangerous and silly combination, and there's plenty of blurry indoor pictures that i'm not posting here. but overall, i'm pleased. this is a Fun Camera and it's an entirely different experience than shooting with an SLR. zone focus is going to require some practice to get good at, is all.

okay, so i haven't worked out when my particular camera might've been produced, but the model in question was first launched in 1966. whatever. i can't stop buying old technology.
