We have a Mentor Graphics mug pulled from my father in law’s collection. Advertising swag from conferences or sales pitches hit differently. This mug claims that Mentor Graphics is the leader in electronic design automation (EDA). Hard to say, really. Zuken is another big player in the EDA space and one that I’ve seen used for many years. For the hobbyist, KiCAD is a pretty good EDA!
Sadly, Mentor Graphics was bought out by Siemens and is now Siemens EDA. Siemens can’t help themselves when they want to buy CAD tools. It’s just so tempting.
My favorite breakfast spot serves coffee in the most random collection of mugs that they’ve been able to pick up. You might get a mug with someone’s name on it. It might be a location. It might be seasonal. You never know! And I’ve never got a duplicate so far.
