Neri immediately hums back, without really thinking. They're used to doing that. Mirroring others. ( It's mostly done with VITTA. ) Like second nature.
It doesn't sound as nice as their "inner voice". Something they're well aware of.
They huff out a laugh at that, "i'll take your word for it. this isn't too.. dissimilar to what i do anyway." Neri never opened their mouth, but their vocal cords were still being used. Almost like they were wearing a mask.
. .They know what Remus is doing, trying to do. They appreciate it. They really do. But they also feel weak for it. They're just statues. And no one said anything.
( I have been changed so many different times. More times than I can count, can remember. And the thought terrifies me. It's a bit ironic, since I'm able to change shape at will. But it's different when it's forced upon you. )
How many more times will Neri be "different"?

They miss Citare. They miss VITTA. And they miss Koi.
