so a silly thing I like doing in FFXIV is wander the cities and when I find a lady who has a cute outfit, or hair, or look I'll compliment them, sometimes just by cheering or using flower petals. If their adventure plate or info indicates any kind of queer I'll give them some of the flowers (lillies, lavender, carnations) that I carry with me. often with a "flowers almost as pretty as you!" line
BUT
I NEVER HAVE A PLAN FOR WHAT'S NEXT
do i run? do i just turn away? Like the dumb ass lesbian I am I have no plans for how they respond or what to do next.

in reply to @selnyam's post:

I'd personally /bow to give them a moment to respond, and then:

  • If they don't respond, walk away
  • If they do respond along the lines of "aw, thank you~" say "you're welcome~ have a lovely day!" and then walk away
  • If they respond with "aw, you're cute too!" say "aw hehe, thank you~ have a lovely day!"
  • If they respond with a conversation hook, you can indulge them for a minute to be polite, and then say "anyway, I gotta go, but I hope you have a lovely day!"

This is assuming you want it to be a pleasant yet brief exchange - a polite, cheerful segue into "have a lovely day!" is usually a good way to signal that the conversation is over.

I once had something similar happen to me specifically when I was mid cutscene, so if you really wanted to flee you could only do this to people distracted by cutscenes and flee the scene before they see! (This is joke advice.)
