started playing Mega Man Legends again today because it's my comfort game
it's truly the platonic ideal of video games in my head, just an absolutely perfect experience. and like even the things that feel weird or clunky about it (the controls are kind of messy, so combat becomes a lil messy) i just implicitly accept. i can't be objective about it, it's flawless in my mind.
I still havent tried it yet. Is it legally available anywhere or do i need to rev up the emu?
I don't believe it's legally available in any form anymore, no. Apparently there are a variety of licensing/VA issues that always complicated rereleases so it's not anywhere easily accessible.

Just from the few bits i've seen it looks like it has soo much charm to it and an incredible aesthetic that makes it look good even today. I've been holding off on it in hopes of a rerelease but maybe it'd be better to just try and get an emulator for it and dive in instead.
