I try not to be overly judgmental of how people listen to music, but while I feel like streaming in general is ethically dicey1 at this point you gotta stop using Spotify. This shit is bad. What an awful company.
Musicians get paid very little even on the "good" services, but because many people don't listen to music on anything other than streaming services anymore, a lot of artists are under pressure to put their music on streaming services so it's accessible.
i know i should get off spotify but i've been using their discover weekly playlists for years and i have so many good songs on my liked from it that i don't know where to find anywhere else..... urgh....
There are some good export tools that let you take your playlists / etc and help you find them elsewhere - that might help?
really? i know of the one that Hype Machine made but i'm curious if there are any others...
