also just as a complete aside: i don't do a lot of note-taking, as i'm not that organized, but for any time i do wanna take some notes or organize some thoughts i use Obsidian. i like that it's free (you can pay for sync, i don't bother), i like that the files live locally, and i like that they're just plain markdown. if Obsidian somehow disappeared today, i'd still have everything in a usable format. it also means i can copy-paste directly into cohost with formatting. big rec
