there is no finer nectar than a scene in a film where an actor is walking the absolute knife edge of breaking and just white knuckles their way through to the cut. because you just know they would have used a different take if that one hadn't had some incredible ad lib that a seasoned professional nearly destroyed themself to preserve for the final reel

Ah, I love that scene so much and I loved it when I saw people talk about it for the first time
thinking abt the moments in the On Cinema live Oscar Specials where Tim and Gregg manage to save it and keep it in by adlibbing, but the release is that the crew in the studio loses it instead. Also Bob Odenkirk almost losing it entirely at the beginning of this bit but is able to use the popcorn as a foil
