I've never had any interest in being part of a book club, but maybe it's because I was an English major (more by default than by choice) so joining a book club just sounds like signing up to go through college again and I don't want that. If I want to take a class I would rather just take the class. If there is a reading list or challenge I would rather just do the reading list or challenge (especially if there's pizza involved). For me specifically, a book club sounds like the worst of both worlds.
i've been trying to think of ways a book club would work for me but I'm coming up blank. Maybe book clubs are for people who wish they had had the chance to take more/different literature classes? More likely, book clubs are simply just not for me.
Dang. And here I thought I would have nothing to say about today's prompt, lol
