Winter Pride is almost here! Next week, we will have the pleasure of bringing you our first-ever four-day marathon, benefitting Point of Pride, featuring speedruns, randomizers, and showcases! Here's a preview of what to expect!

Wednesday, December 13

Pre-Marathon Hype stream, featuring Demerine playing a three-randomizer shuffler of three iconic NES adventures: Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, and Dragon Warrior! Join us on the PUWP Twitch channel (https://www.twitch.tv/powerupwithpride) for what's sure to be a fun preview event!

Thursday, December 14

Winter Pride begins at 5:00 PM Eastern! LadyErianna will kick things off with the HD Remake of Langrisser 1, a game for which she has improved the world record for several times over the past month! Following that will be Adept__CS with Splatoon 2, and Luigi's Mansion easing us into a night-long horror block!

Friday, December 15

We'll be back starting at 9:00 AM with a three-game block of NES classics, leading into the classic Don Bluth trilogy of arcade games. The afternoon will be action-packed and intense before giving way to some cozier evening runs, and we'll be finishing out the night with some turn-based RPG representation, including an Any% Glitchless race of Chained Echoes.

Saturday, December 16

Starting off the day will be Peggle Deluxe, and what would a queer speedrunning marathon be without a Sonic Block? It'll be argick and huds601 kicking off the block with a Sonic CD race, and each of these talented runners will bring a different game and their own unique "spin" on things!

Saturday will also feature our first unlockable bonus game: Bomb Rush Cyberfunk! If we can unlock this, we'll get to see shovelclaws show off this hot new Jet Set Radio-inspired game and its one-of-a-kind speedrun.

But that's not all! LordFluffy will bring us the dungeons of The Critically Acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV and its Stormblood expansion, and Asuka424 will bring us the Zelda-like Hime's Quest, followed by back-to-back actual Zelda games to close out the night: a classic vanilla offering in mchan's Link to the Past 100%, followed by sin_pyro shuffling things up with A Link Between Worlds Randomizer!

Sunday, December 17

Sunday's lineup will feature underwater adventuring in the form of Ecco Jr and ABZÛ, and an adventure that looks like running through water in Virtual Hydlide! There are old favorites including Mario Kart and Pokemon, brand new indie games, and everything in between.

Our second bonus game will be Banjo-Tooie. If we can reach our goal, we'll get to see LordFluffy take on this classic N64 collectathon!

And, closing out the event will be a four-player race of Metroid Planets! FlannelKat, GrayGooGirl, forneia, and arborelia will go head-to-head-to-head-to-head in this fangame, playing a custom seed of community-made rooms!
