I'm a Vietnamese cis woman born and currently living in the U.S. You may know me from Sandwich, from Twitter or Mastodon (same username), or on Twitch as Sharkaeopteryx. I do not have a Discord or Bluesky account.

Ask me about language learning/teaching, cooking/eating food, late diagnosis ADHD, and volunteer small business mentoring. Or don't, I'm not the boss of you.

I think people deserve to be young, make mistakes, and grow without being held to standards they don't know about yet and are still learning. So, if you are under 22, please don't try to strike up a friendship or get involved in discussions on my posts.

Please don't automatically assume I follow/know/co-sign someone just because I reposted something from them—sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Also, if you think being removed as a follower when we're not mutuals is a cardinal sin, please do not follow me.

This workshop will feature panelists who have helped organize at Progressive Workers Union, The Bird Union, and OPEIU—I can also vouch for panelist Grace Reckers, who is a volunteer with the joint-DSA/UE Union Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee project. Details for this workshop are as follows:

Feb 8, 2024, 5pm PT / 8pm ET

Green Union Hall’s first workshop of 2024, “Organizing 101,” will offer a nuts-and-bolts introduction to the first stages of organizing a union within your workplace. Panelists will share tips and tactics for conducting initial conversations with your coworkers, power-mapping your workplace, building support for unionizing, and identifying potential parent unions.

In order to create a safe space for participants, and to ensure that no-one joining the workshop represents management or a union-busting firm, we ask that you provide some basic information. We will be lightly vetting this information and manually approving registrants.

We also want to ensure the content in the workshop is as helpful as possible to those actively trying to organize their workplaces, so please let us know if there are any particular issues or questions you have.
