for many reasons but one of them is because sometimes you're streaming a sokoban puzzle game and you are stuck and starting to get bored and then the dev comes into stream and gives you a second wind and also hints/encouragement for the 2 levels where you get too inside your own head, so that you can finish the whole first stage 😂 We also learned some fun facts about the development process. First time I had a dev (who I don't know) come in during one of my streams, that was really cool and they were super nice! Arzulo from Mocha Moose Games.
(This was a stream where I realized 30mins in I was sleepy, probably too sleepy for a puzzle game, but ended up going 3.5hours because I ended up in a cycle of having fun-sleemby-having fun-so tired-so back-how brain-so back again-so sleemby-etc etc, I would probably enjoy the game a lot better if I were more awake)
The game itself, Sandy's Great Escape, is a cute pixel crab with unlockable skins who has time rewind powers and uses death as quicktravel and his own corpse to achieve his goals (pushing boxes so he can go to the beach). I don't play enough sokoban games to know how much of that is standard to the genre though 😉
