I think people deserve to be young, make mistakes, and grow without being held to standards they don't know about yet and are still learning. So, if you are under 22, please don't try to strike up a friendship or get involved in discussions on my posts.

this is just stream of consciousness but I think it all sort of bleeds together and it explains why people become so obsessed with internet "drama" or makes people act more like "characters" or "personalities"
i think it's why a lot of online stuff feels artificial ON TOP of how much stuff we see that's decided by an algorithm
oh yeah, I mean...I count YouTube as a social medium, and the business of being a successful YouTube celebrity seems to be largely about turning yourself into a mini reality-TV star
a few years ago, I came to the conclusion that I like youtubers whose lives I don't really know about. They just make fun videos for me to watch and I don't know what they do on a daily basis
oh yeah. if the focus is the work itself, rather than the person selling their own personality, then it's a lot more engaging
My wife has been watching a lot of love is blind lately and one thing that strikes me repeatedly is that whenever someone does or says something horrible to another person they always reflect on it as 'causing drama' (which I know is not necessarily new), but it gives the vibe that they consider their misdeeds excusable because it provides entertainment value
