Mulling over my options. I have two things I need to be able to website (v.) -- medium-length shitposts, and photos. Some solutions being pondered:
- A lightweight blogging solution such as ghost, bear, writefreely, goblin band. And then possibly also a separate photo solution.
- Just start writing shitposts in Obsidian lol
- A static site generator -- would need to be extremely for babies, which makes Publii pretty interesting. I know lots of them are well-documented and I'm not completely command-line-phobic, but the thing is that if I hit a bump and don't have extra brainpower and executive function to burn, I'll just end up abandoning it. So something that's extremely turnkey is in my best interests.
Using Obsidian seems cool to my brain, but there aren't necessarily a lot of good ways to show off photos in it, and it's very possible that being the kind of person who would actually build a digital garden of shitposting is more of an aspirational new years resolution thing than what I actually need from a functional standpoint.
