I haven't streamed the other days for various reasons, but I am going to be castin' the tournament from my character's POV for Day 3 early morning! Riichi Mahjong has played 3 matches thus far and has racked up a 2nd, 4th, and a 1st. Hopefully, we'll continue the positive trend!
I'm also going to need to be somewhat quiet since the tourney is happening at very early in the morning here and my roomies might be sleeping. In any case, you can follow my stream here: https://twitch.tv/shay_the_skunk . If you have an account and allow notifications for it, you'll receive a notification when I go live. At least, supposedly!
In any case, I'll be having a fun time with 3 matches within 6 hours of time on a Sunday morning, maybe you'll enjoy it too? Commentary, mahjong, and maybe some other nonsense on the side (social games, blunderville, chatting about nothing in particular, Book of Hours, some Pokémon, Minecraft, who knows, the list is endless).
Come on and watch! No camera for this particular engagement.
Let us hope Riichi Mahjong can make it all the way, or at least be part of some entertaining matches!
We ended up taking middle of the pack almost exactly. Although, we were slightly negative due to our overall point score. We could've really used the Yakuman I had a chance on last hand (All concealed pons) even if it was ron, it would've been immense with like 7 han minimum.
I also had a little 3 dragons opportunity and also a Baiman today. So, it was a fun tournament for those like me who are looking for them deep dark mystical hands.
I wish I could've stayed up and continued playing fun matches, but I just needed to pass out after. The EU schedule is not a good one for me :P although the players were incredibly nice and good spirited overall. I think most were there to /play/ if you know what I am saying. Some folks were chatty, and I think I'd be a chattier person too if I didn't have to place so many mind cycles on the game itself.
I enjoyed streaming it even though I couldn't commentate effectively outside of what I was trying to do. Any road, I'll be streaming more mahjong more often I think, it's a game I don't get tired of. I get tired of Minecraft from time to time, but I seem to only get salty with Mahjong, which is different.
Being salty can be removed with time and endured I think. Being tired of something makes it infinitely more difficult to keep up with. Minecraft is fun and all, but sometimes I gotta put it down for a hot minute. Mahjong, sometimes I end up wanting to play it more despite myself. Truly a game with no positive benefits to anyone whatsoever.
