a few bits from our Bendy Cthulhu game that I doodled last session.....

• Dread Carcosa is taking over NYC so there's a yellow fog kind of filtering over the city, and sometimes areas of thick fog can hijack people to think they're in the King In Yellow play and start taking on the role of one of the characters. This happened to Susie and of course Sammy WAS properly concerned, but like, seriously, could she always twirl a knife all cool??? IT JUST WOULDNT SURPRISE ME, U KNOW?
• Prophet sometimes just has Intuition about supernatural things, so Sammy switched him in to see if Prophet could tell whether the Phantom was after Peter specifically, which Prophet accomplished by standing very close and smooshing his hands all over Peter's face. DW ABT IT. NORMAL SAMMY BEHAVIOUR.
• Avedon is back!!!! This guy is technically a minor NPC from our 2nd scenario, but he's a big fav b/c he spent that scenario losing his mind, locking Sammy & Jack in a closet at gunpoint, and attending a masquerade just to try to shoot the host. He's a little more sane this go round and showed up to warn us that the Yellow King is taking over NYC. THANKS DUDE, WE NOTICED!!!!

Some scribbles from last session of everyone doing a great job socially in our Cthulhu game that i threw some colours on; THINGS HAVE BEEN SO BUSY IRL but cthulhu has been very exciting!!

The source of "Sammy's random improv from New Orleans being played in a New York charity dinner 2 years later" seems to be some clarinet player named "Alan Leroy", so in digging into who this guy is and whether the Pallid Mask is following(??) him(???), we asked around with (a) the guy's book club friends and (b) the mob! as one does. Sammy managed to avoid seeing the yellow sign when he realised very quickly what Cool Obscure Book this book club pal might be describing (unlike Jack, a polite boy who does not RAPIDLY AVERT HIS EYES FROM HIS CONVERSATIONAL PARTNER), but did not manage to avoid being hustled off by the mob to talk to The Boss™ when Henry asked just a few too many questions. it went fine but Sammy was SO STRESSED, HES ALREADY BEEN KIDNAPPED BY GANGSTERS ONCE HE DOESNT WANT TO DO IT AGAIN

also hes still cute in this hat. you should wear hats more often sammy.

MORE DRAWINGS FROM SESSION TWO of our cthulhu game.....
There have been small changes, throughout New York – doors opening on the wrong side of the street, houses ending up just a block away from where you remembered them – but the only people who can even tell seem to be those who remember Carcosa. Joey, Sammy, Henry, Jack, Peter, and Norman all experienced the strange shifting realm when a Mardi Gras party attempted to bring dread Carcosa to New Orleans, but Susie wasn’t there. She can’t see the changes we see, and the entire rest of the city agrees with her. That door was always there? The car was always that colour. That’s where I remember the address being before, and there’s no record it was ever different.

She trusts what the boys are reporting must be true, that maybe there are changes she can’t see or remember, and both she and Sammy are terrified. These are only little things, but as more and more of the city slips into the world of the King in Yellow, what else might be rewritten…?
