Five star romance novel. It's incredible how much Hibbert has developed as a writer. Her last book I read, A Girl Like Her, was much older and much weaker. Act Your Age, Eve Brown was just so much more compelling and believable and I got so invested in it and emotional.

The genre is still very much romance novel. This is not a book that escapes genre to appeal to people who don't want a romance novel. But it's a really fucking good romance novel with two autistic protagonists who are very realistic in their trauma and behaviors and everything. They're so deeply relatable and it's just good writing.

You do not need to read the first two books in the series to enjoy this one it's a completely standalone story.
