I really like Friends at the Table but the episodes being so long really makes it hard for me to really get into it like I want to. I realized a big contributor to the episodes being so long is that everyone just speaks really slowly, which makes sense since everyone is thinking a lot while they talk.

So I'm experimenting with speeding the episodes up to 1.5× speed, maybe 2× speed, and so far it's helping but it does raise the pitches of everyone's voices quite a bit. Resulting in a new podcast experience I'm calling Mice at the Table.

Bc of my brain shape combined with the giant backlog of stuff I'd like to watch from people who do stuff i basically set every podcast and stream I watch to higher speed unless it completely destroys the mood, to the point where if I catch some streams live I have to take a moment to be like right this is their actual cadence, not them putting on a bit

also some video game soundtracks at normal speed just sound innately Wrong to me now bc my exposure to them was at nightcore speeds
