The best part about being in a union is getting to be friends with your coworkers. You get to actually be yourself and you realize your coworkers are like real people and not professional zombies and you become friends and it makes work a million times less draining.

Like I'm organizing a cross-library in person meeting and I'm like excited to see coworkers from other libraries and get lunch together and with at-will employment I never would have felt that way
