not sure i follow the thread here. I've seen plenty of similar conflicts between ppl who don't do that. if anything there might be a correlation in that ppl who are intentionally sober are more likely to have experienced these kinds of destructive conflicts before and not want to repeat them, but even that is tenuous i think
in fact some of the most Destructive Conflict-oriented people I've ever met were people for whom sobriety was a major part of their politics and a measure by which they judged others
