Person who identifies as having Long Appendicitis. Chronic Appendicitis. Constantly on antibiotics but will not get an appendectomy because they are Belgian and love filet américain and eat it every day and can’t imagine a life without the organ that maybe makes it slightly less dangerous to be eating. So keeps turning down appendectomy and asking for stronger and stronger antibiotics for longer and longer. Doctors and nurses begin to wonder if maybe this person’s brain has been hijacked by bacteria trying to breed super soldiers to spread super bugs throughout the world.

Chronic appendicitis is a real thing! The issue is diagnosis - if the appendix isn't fully blocked so it doesn't look bad on a scan and won't rupture, it can be hard to identify it as the cause of recurrent abdominal pain.
