ASMR is truly the most baffling byproduct of the internet. It has been many years of the ASMR genre existing and I never cease to be surprised and confused by some of the ASMR videos that people make. It leads to some absolutely unusual combinations in a way that I honestly love and appreciate. Like, before the internet hyper-evolved culture when would you have ever thought people would be making content like "replacing a parking light bulb in a soothing relaxing way" or "counting down from 100 while I put lotion on my hands."

i kind of think... it is very beautiful...
idk, i'm not that "in" to asmr but I feel like it's a manifestation of a desire to just, slow down and pay really close attention. obviously there's a ton of other stuff going on but speaking really broadly it feels like a very gentle thing
