been playing Conjury and wow Confusion in this game is so overpowered. It never wears off, affects bosses, and has like a 50% fire rate. So like, I just confused the final boss and most of their attacks just kill their minions for me which then drops items for me to use. for the entire battle. from one card. wild

It's a fun little spirelike. making drawing cards cost an energy point instead of getting a full free hand every turn changes the strategies you take a lot and some of the builds are fun. the art is very cute. it feels a little unbalanced with some of the builds being MUCH better than others.

I feel like that's often a hole those games fall into. I was playing Dungeon Drafters a while ago, and I found a strategy that just let me one-turn-kill basically every boss. I had to have @zandravandra explain to me what all the boss gimmicks were because I never saw them

See breaking the game with a really fantastic engine is a lot of the best fun parts of these games but the issue arises when there are other builds that are so weak you can’t even really win with them because then those cards that use those mechanics are just junk noise you have to sort through all the time. It’s more fun with every mechanic can become a powerful engine it’s just a matter of choosing the right ones
