One of the funniest and tragic things is when you are a gay boy/man and develop your tastes in ways very influenced by that culture and then you realize you have extreme gender dysphoria and are actually a woman and you transition into being a woman but your taste in men is still Bears in Leather and Long Haired Well-Kempt Twinks and the such and none of those people are attracted to you because you are a woman. It's like not just an MTF journey but M to Straight Women on Sex and the City or Friends complaining that all the good men are gay but you're not talking about Neil Patrick Harris you're talking about Bowser

in reply to @shel's post:

Heh, for the longest time we were afraid of being trans because, all our sexual and romantic interests were male! Almost all of our friends were gay men! And we liked men! Would anyone ever like us if we were a woman???

Our sexuality ended up changing along our gender identity so it was all okay in the end yes yes.
