I love the dedication of some nurses to doing a pregnancy test on me even as they're actively looking at my chart and seeing all the HRT and vaginoplasty and shit. "There's no way I could be pregnant" "Well let's test just in case ok?" "sure...."

In my experience nurses in like, the surgery prep room or the emergency room tend to not really be looking for the kinds of things that would make them clock someone and instead just are like OK chart says F whatever that means F no time to think about this. They're used to seeing tons and tons of people who might be all kinds of weird or disfigured or covered in blood or urine with fucked up hair and so like... yeah they're not looking at my brow line or listening to my voice
