getting my leg diagnosed and chatting to people about that has caused me to learn how many people have had long term joint, limb, back pain for like, years at a time (the cute queer barista at the place by my apartment had knee pain for 10 years!) and then found out they just needed like, a few months of physio doing specific movements and stretches and that fixed it completely. like injuries they just, thought were permanent.

that got me thinking that like. wow not only do we need like, queer friendly physiotherapists, but like.... everyone, especially poor people like me, should get free physio checkups and appointments.

because it turns out that a lot of shit.... is treatable

so often i have encountered shit ppl just assumed was permanent and then u go to the doctor for it and it's like damn that's treatable but you can't do it because Economy and Money and Insurance and Discrimintaiton and Time Off Limitations interfere so much with going to the doctor that ppl don't even try cuz there's so many barriers it's just easier to assume it'll be permanent
