lately my sketching process has involved an increasingly wild number of layers and colors. helps me build up volume, block in shapes for key details, and find the right lines when i do an inking pass, but it is uhhhh not remotely efficient? i'm self-taught, and while i have been making some huge progress lately, i don't really have any strategies for how to get faster or make my process less labor intensive. i'm sure that'll just come with time and experience, but sometimes i wonder if i'm making things harder for myself or developing unhelpful habits? how do art good??
did some absolutely unhinged stuff after experimenting with gradient maps. this isn't final but it is... something!
