editedit: ie learned from shares and from the comments where you can learn more information: this is not an emergency and a misreading by op of the subpoena! the subpoena is by webtoons and against mirror sites.

The list does not include mangadex.org, it includes a site with a .tv domain which looks very much unrelated.

thank you folks for the corrections, extra info provided clarifying that it is not the main mangadex site being subpoena'd, it is very much appreciated! as another said in a rc i shared, archive the media you love so you never lose it, and can share it for others too if possible in the future.

Mangadex is not going down, the only Mangadex domain is Mangadex.org, ANY site that is not specifically Mangadex.org is a spoof site
Reading the list of domains in the article, I'm fairly sure all of those are scraper sites, most scanlators despise those so... nothing that matters is going to be lost in here

Are we sure that this is the mangadex? Looks like this "mangadex.tv" link in the list goes to mangakakalot (there are a lot of mangakakalot mirror links in the list)

Still, seeing as how it's webtoon. I hope there is backups. Can't even download some manhwa you pay for on there and the pricing is pretty shit. Considering they also have a monopoly on all that. Fuck'em I say.

I totally agree. People gotta archive their fav stuff just in case, because of how easily media can be taken down from any number of reasons. It’s never a bad idea to have a backup.
