So this isn't llm chicanery. The actual explanation for his heart attack is pretty "boring." At his height and the kind of athletic activity he is doing, even at peak physical health it's a strain on pulmonary system. Basketball players are 10x* more likely (I think? I am not a doctor and I just read about this and have been warned as a tall person about this) to suffer heart problems younger than most average people.

The real reason they are so mum on using the phrase "heart attack" is that there are two competing conspiracies about Myocarditis and Covid. There are unhinged Facebook conspiracies that the vaccine gives you Myocarditis. Little/no basis in science. The other one was an Ohio State study that found that athletes who had COVID had enlarged hearts and other weird post Covid oddities. That one was retracted but under weird circumstances that involved some chicanery by the NCAA. I think there was follow up, but I don't remember on the top of my head how it shook out.

*EDIT: I looked it up, it's actually 10x than the normal athletic population.

i was more (bemusedly, jokingly) pointing out that they don't even state that anything happened, just saying that he's in stable condition. coupled with a "how rare!" statement, it makes it seem like being in a stable condition is rare - which, admittedly, big mood

edit: thanks for sharing the info though
