god we are so back. spoilers under the cut
"we all lost the war."
if you've followed this blog for any amount of time you probably know that I'm a sucker for any time the postwar politics (that is, the politics of the post-clone-war) are invoked in the age of the rebellion so this episode was FOOD for me.
i know there's a bit of I Recognize That Character going on with Asajj showing up here, but honestly I prefer this so much more than like, Ahsoka or Obi-Wan showing up, which I think would have been much worse. Letting Asajj play the role of the Force Aunt here makes a lot of sense. She's the more underworld/criminal version of that character, which is a good fit for this crew of characters.
Also, her LOOK here kicks ass. Loved her as a bald baddie and love her again here as an undercut baddie. GOD it was cool to see her.
Am I mad about this kinda retconning her death? fuck no lol that was dumb. she did not deserve that ending. that book sucked shit
