I finished it! I'm getting better at this. This is the first one where I really noticed some 7th chords, so I worked those out. Also, I had to split the strings across 5 tracks to get the stereo effect. Makes it a lot harder to work with.

One thing is I found the compressor controls for the TR-909 instrument, so I made some of the elements punchier. Wish I'd known about those sooner! I might have to go back and tweak some stuff.

I used so many tracks, it's actually starting to max out my CPU. Might be time to upgrade...

Happy Saturday! So I've been playing with this over the week, and I even took a crash course on chord structure. I went over it with a really fine toothed comb and fixed pretty much everything that was bothering me. There's a couple of spots where I couldn't quite hear what was going on in the original, but they're at least mostly "musically correct" now.

I came up with a better grunge guitar patch by feeding a couple of sine waves through the built-in amplifier on the Jupiter-8. First time I actually found sine waves useful. I also used some of my experience messing around with equalization.

Anyway I hope you like it, I definitely learned a lot :)
