Thinking about how languages have words in different orders led me to imagine a fantasy culture where the question was not "what is your name" or "how are you called" but rather "do you have a name"
As in, a name is something which is earned and not given, and how would that even work, and what would one do to earn their name.
I find it interesting that the culture would simply not presume thata person has a name, that the question would barely even exist, and that people from other cultures in this world would have to learn the language and there would always be somebody who said "wait, this doesn't literally translate right. It's actually saying 'do you have a name' and then they'd have to have that whole discussion.
