I believed her for like a year before I found out you couldn't really get a degree in fonts.
However, I did have an intense desire to be able to do what she did, which is identify almost any font just by looking at it. And although I've done that many times after doing lots of graphic design (thanks goes out to my homefont Bebas who did a lot of heavy lifting there), I think my proudest font identification moment came today when I looked at a shitpost that @silverspots was working on and was able to identify the font it was trying to copy as Highway Gothic from clear across the room.

They use Highway Gothic on traffic signs here in the U.S., but also in Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Indonesia, and Malaysia, if Wikipedia is to be believed.
But anyway, knowing that sort of thing lets me do cute little low-effort shitposts like this:
