You squeeze yourself into the EGGBUG COSTUME. It's a bit tight, but it should work, for whatever given value of "work" is, in this case.
It would be really nice if there was a bathroom mirror you could check yourself out at, but now that you think of it, you haven't seen a bathroom anywhere in the whole building, and it feels like you've been wandering around down here for a couple months now.
A beeping sound from the door brings your attention back to the task at hand. A red laser beam slowly lowers from the ceiling, scanning back and forth. You flinch as it first touches you, but nothing seems to happen. When the beam is done scanning, it retracts back into the ceiling with a mechanical whir.
The door beeps a second time, and then a chime sounds.
"Welcome, EGGBUG. Access granted."
The door swings open, and, upon seeing no fire escape, you take the only available path — up the stairs. It's not long before you reach the top and push open the door, which locks shut behind you. You immediately realize why nobody ever talks about the second floor. It doesn't really exist.
In place of a floor or walls, there is a maze of CATWALKS leading in all directions, narrow metal walkways just wide enough to shimmy your way around. You really hope you can find some kind of exit up here, because this is harrowing!
The catwalks seem to be leading to four doors, but it's too dark up here to make out anything beyond that.
