Given that we're staring down the barrel of another below average winter on terms of snowfall, its frustrating that there's plenty of water available for drinking out west for everybody to live comfortably. This isn't about car washes or watering lawns or swimming pools. The states have all gotten greedy and they're overdrawing their allotments so the lettuce farmers can farm their lettuce and give kickbacks to the states.

If you look at water usage over the last 30 years, none of the states were using their allotted 15maf back then. Then in the mid 2000s Big Ag moved in and suddenly there's a water crisis that they're calling a drought when really big corporate farms are using all the water that used to fill the reservoirs. Just another way of shifting blame from big industry to anything else and telling residents it's their responsibility to fix it.
