I took a nap this afternoon and dreamed up another cable TV show. The idea of Chef vs. Wizard is simple: a chef and a wizard compete to make the best dish. The chef uses all their chefly skills, the wizard uses magic.
The judges have to guess not only who makes the best dish, but which is the wizard. The wizard wins if he makes the best meal and also goes undetected as the wizard. The chef wins by cooking the best dish or if the wizard is caught.
All the standard cooking competition tropes apply: the dramatic lighting and music, the weird gimmick that makes it interesting, the wizard incinerating a heckler in the audience, everything you've come to know and love from an overproduced Food Network show.
It goes completely unmentioned except for Wednesday nights, when Food Network runs a six-hour block every week.
